KidSport Voucher Program Collection Notice

When you apply for, receive or use a KidSport voucher, the Department of Creative Industries Tourism and Sport (CITS) collects, uses and discloses personal information about you and your child through the KidSport portal, supporting documents and related communications.

CITS collects, uses and discloses this information for the purposes of processing and managing your application, as well as improving the KidSport program and ensuring it meets the needs of the diverse communities it serves.

Failure to provide the mandatory personal information required for eligibility and application processing may mean that CITS cannot assess your application or issue a KidSport voucher. 

Your, and your child’s, personal information may be disclosed to:

• your relevant local government authority, where it is involved in assessing, validating or administering your KidSport application, with only that information necessary to process the application disclosed; and
• the relevant KidSport approved club, to the extent necessary to enable voucher redemption and program administration.

In addition to this portal we may collect personal information from: 

• Local governments who may submit identity documents and other supporting documentation enabling us to assess an application;
• other approved government agencies and community service providers representing or supporting the needs of children, where relevant to special consideration applications (e.g. financial distress, out of home care, refugee status).

Where appropriate, you should take reasonable steps to ensure that your child is aware of this collection notice and understands, relevant to their maturity, that their personal information is being provided to CITS and used/disclosed for the purposes described above.
